Rather  than employing a bookkeeper fulltime, a lot of small business owners want to outsource their accounting services.  To outsource your accounting services you will be able to save cost on a monthly basis by cutting that cost. 

I do encourage our clients,  when the time is right,  to employee a fulltime bookkeeper or administration person.  For a new small business it is always easier to first use an external bookkeeper until such time when they require someone on a fulltime basis to assist with debtors, creditors and stock control.
